Hi Rated Sports Coaching and Admin team,
My daughter is a top OYSL player. She has received numerous individual and team titles that define success at its highest levels in Ontario youth soccer. She was noticed from an early age and throughout her soccer since age 4 to now, age 16. She has wanted to play University soccer with a few hundred fans watching since she was 12.
She will be playing Div 1 NCAA soccer in her graduating year. It will not be because of her Ontario Cups, league titles, and strong individual play on her OYSL teams or even quality showcase records. It will be because this busy parent entered her in the Rated Sports camp BMO 2008. It will be because this parent has her follow the instructions and sent her off to be part of a showcase team that travelled to Wixom Michigan in the fall of 2008. She has travelled to many places and played in many tournaments and my daughter told me that she has never been treated, by her own words, "soccer Professional" on a soccer trip.
I will say this with all honesty and integrity. The reality is that your son or daughter's coach and staff for the most part, wish to win soccer games and titles. They are very interested in promoting their own players and close friends in achieving their dreams and aspirations. Your team coaches must respond to some of the most difficult player agents in the world, the other parents.
If you have a very good player both in skill and attitude and desire but you are more of a parent than a player agent to your son or daughter then Rated Sports can be absolutley critical in ensuring that your daughter is seen by Div 1 College coaches and, most very importantly, that they establish contact and feedback.
There is no filter, no misplaced emails with the Rated Sports people. The quiet parent, the quiet and capable soccer player will be seen for the player they are. Rated Sports treats every player as if they had that "player agent" parent in their ear.
Thank you Rated Sports from a very loving parent (but a lousy player agent),
Brad and daughter and player Shannon
